The Corfu Sailing Club (CSC) was founded in 1977 as an annex of the Athens Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC). Both clubs operate in harmony, with the same people, the same board and the same members.
In its long course, the club has run many schools for beginners in offshore sailing, transmitting our love for the sport. Over 1200 young men and women from our island have graduated from these Schools.
In 1984, the Club hosted with great success the world Minitone Sailing Championship and twice the East Mediterranean championship.
The famous Ionian Rally is another big race that the Corfu Sailing Club hosts every year in rotation with the Patras Sailing Club and the help of the Ionian clubs.
The Corfu Sailing club participates in and co-hosts the race COPA DI MAGNA GRECIA ever since the 80’s, developing friendly relations with our Italian neighbors, and in particular with the Greek-speaking areas of Salento in South Italy.

Then, the contacts of the sailors set off the big race BRINDISI-CORFU co-hosted together with Brindisi’s  LEGA NAVALE ITALIANA, and in the last years with Brindisi’s Sailing Club, for 21 consecutive years. In last year’s hosting, the participations exceeded 137. The excellent organization and the large number of participations have made the Italian Sailing Club include this race in the 4 biggest International Races of the Mediterranean. >>
